Abstract: Purpose- Environmental pollution is one of the major concerns among countries. Therefore, it is important to promote sustainable development and exploit available resources in a way that future needs are not compromised hence, It is observed that Green supply chain management (GSCM) is a compelling innovative, and successful strategy to increase any enterprise’s productivity, effectiveness, and pursuit of sustainability. The purpose of this paper is to make a comparative analysis between the automobile and food industry green supply chain. This study includes a literature review related to themes identified during research. Methodology- This paper, uses thematic analysis as a tool, to analyse how participants responded to the questionnaire. There were five major factors for the green supply chain management identified; Competitive drivers, collaborative transportation, green transportation and reverse logistics, green manufacturing, environment-oriented management and customer support.
