Abstract: Women have always been considered as inferior to men. Nevertheless, the stint has altered and innumerable laws are being passed in different jurisdiction with an intent of postulating reassuring equitable status to women. Specific provisions of law endure the advancement of women in the society. Whereas, the special laws are being incorporated to reserve the place for women in the boardroom of the companies which is considered to be a compacted step for empowering the women in corporate sector. This article focuses on the appointment and appropriate provisions in the company law of following countries which regulate the appointments of women directors in the companies operating in different South Asian countries. Here specifically in the countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Nepal, Pakistan.
