Abstract: With the changing pedagogy of digitalization worldwide, mobile services in academic libraries have gained rapid momentum. This is quite evident from the huge amount of publications in recent years. To analyse the literature growth of mobile services in libraries throughout the world, bibliometrics techniques have been adopted. For this study, data has been extracted from Scopus by using a combination of the terms related to mobile and library. 971 articles were scanned and selected after removing duplicity. The first article was published in 1990 and by 2012, tremendous growth has been observed. Analysis of various published papers under study led to a conclusion that the majority of contributions were from conference papers although collaborative studies have also gained equal popularity. However, it was found that the inverse square law of Lotka’s did not conform as such to the present data
