Abstract: Data encoding plays an important role in today's digital environment where large amounts of data are constantly created, stored and transmitted. Effective compression technology is needed to improve resource utilization, reduce storage requirements, and improve data transfer. One such technique, Huffman coding, has stood the test of time as an elegant and effective way to compress data. The project focuses on creating a powerful data encoding tool using Huffman coding and using it in the C++ programming language._x000D_ Huffman encoding is a lossless data compression algorithm used to encode a set of characters into a sequence of binary code. It is a technique that assigns different length numbers to symbols based on their frequencies. More frequent characters are given shorter numbers, while rare characters are given longer numbers. This results in an overall reduction in the number of objects required to represent data. Huffman coding is a widely used lossless data compression algorithm that assigns variable length codes to input signals based on their frequency. It is a greedy algorithm that repeats the lowest code until a code tree is formed. Code trees represent different code lengths for each character; more frequent characters receive shorter codes and less frequent characters receive longer codes.
