Abstract: In the semiconductor industry, a bundle of files called a pdk (process design kit) is used to create models for the manufacturing process of the design tools needed to create integrated circuits. The foundry typically develops a pdk by outlining the specific technological variants used in their operations. For eample, we may imagine a pdk-style set of construction bricks, where each block stands in for a certain need. These blocks have a wide range of potential uses in circuits. Working knowledge of shell and scripting languages such as tel and python is required to begin pdk development at synopsys. Interns get instruction in several important aspects of the pdk development process
