| Abstract: | This case study intends to study the failure of Information Technology Systems at the Internal Revenue Service. It conceptualizes the implementation of a business system modernization process. The systems failure at IRS provides ample lessons on how such fiascos can be prevented in the future. As with a large proportion of IT failures, ‘people’ ssues played an important role in this project as well and were instrumental in the failure. |
