Authors: Nagar, Vaibhav
Keywords: Scent detection, Gas Chromatography, Odor transmission, Volatile organic compounds
Issue Date: 2023
Publisher: Cyber Tech Publications
Abstract: This review paper examines the technology behind reproducing and transmitting smello over the internet and the potential applications of this tech nology. The paper discusses the creation and transmission of digital smells through processes like portable gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS), which involves capturing, converting sharing and recreating particles. The interdisciplinary nature of this technology involves chemistry, computer science, and biotach, and it has vast potential applications in various in-dustries, including medical science, cinema, advertising, and gaming. However, there are challenges in implementing this technology, such as the complexity and expense of chemical- based systems and the difficulty of generating smell sensations without using chemicals. Overall, the paper highlights the need for further research and development in the field of digital scent technology.
