Abstract

The environmental footprint tracker is a comprehensive software application designed to assist individuals in monitoring and reducing their carbon footprint. This project aims to provide a user-manageable interface that permits users to store and track several aspects of their daily activities participating to carbon radiations. The system calculates the carbon footprint based on data provided by the user, offering insights into areas that contribute most significantly to their environmental impact. The application covers key areas such as energy expenditure, transport habits, dietary choices, waste peers, and more. Users are prompted to enter data regarding their weekly activities/daily, and the system calculates the corresponding carbon emissions using established emission factors. The collected data is then presented to the user in an easily interpretable format, highlighting the major contributors to their carbon footprint.
