Abstract: A PDK (Process design kit) in semiconductor industry is a set of files used to prepare model for fabrication process of the design tools to design integrated circuits. Usually Foundry department creates a PDK ny defining certain technology variation for their processes. We can look at a PDK like collection of building blocks, where each block in a building represents certain components. These blocks can be used many circuits fo various applications. To start developing a PDK at Synopsys, one should be well equipped with shell and scripting languages like TCL and Python. There are many crucial steps in the process of development of PDK for which the interns are given training. Our tasks are to learn the required languages, understand the concepts and then we were asked to start with the frontend development of a PDK. The different concepts and features of a PDK were learnt, understood, This report deals with the learnings and findings during my internship in Synopsys. Throughout my tenure, I have been working on various tools and technologies to develop PDK's. This report contains the following observations found during the development, and PDK development cycle. The title of the report is PDK development. The objective of the internship is to understand the workflow and help in development of PDK. There are many learnings that the learnt during the internship in this company. Understanding of technology and concepts is very much important to work on developing a PDK
