Abstract: This project endeavors to address the evolving landscape of digital banking by developing a secure and user-friendly banking application in C++, The digital transformation of financial services necessitates advanced systems capable able of managing transactions efficiently while prioritizing the security and convenience of users. This C++ banking application comprises distinct user and admin modules, each tailored to fulfil specific functionalities. The primary objectives of the project encompass the creation of a user module that enables account creation, secure card detail generation utilizing hashing algorithms (specifically SHA-256), balance inquiries, and seamless transaction processing. Additionally, an admin module is implemented to facilitate system management and oversight. Notably, the project emphasizes robust security measures, including the utilization of SHA- 256 hashing for the secure storage of sensitive information. A significant aspect of the security infrastructure involves the implementation of a dynamic password/ CVV generator, enhancing transaction security. This generator employs a secure algorithm, potentially based on Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA), to dynamically generate unique passwords for each transaction. These dynamically generated passwords have a limited validity period, providing an additional layer of defence against unauthorized access and fraudulent activities. In terms of methodology, the project utilizes C++ for its programming language, ensuring efficiency and versatility. The user interface is designed with a focus on user experience, incorporating menu-driven navigation and a secure input/output system. Keywords: Security, transactions, banking, systems, SSL, networking.
