Abstract

Smart Food Inventory and Waste Management System" is an innovative and sophisticated software solution poised to transform the landscape of food inventory managementfor both individuals and restaurants. This project presents a dynamic and user-friendly application, leveraging the power of C++ to offer a seamless and efficient platform for users to manage their food items effectively, with a particular emphasis on minimizing food waste. The system introduces a dual-user role framework, distinguishing between 'People' and 'Restaurants." This dichotomy allows 'Restaurants' to leverage advanced features for adding, tracking, and maintaining their food inventory. A key feature of the system is the incorporation of an automated expiration date alert system. This system plays a pivotal role in preventing unnecessary food wastage by providing timely notifications to 'Restaurants' about items approaching or reaching their expiration dates.
