Abstract: The project titled "Finding Cabs Nearby Using Great Circle Distance Formula" addresses the criticalchallenge in urban transportation systems of efficiently connecting users with nearby cab services. Inthe contemporary landscape of rapidly evolving ride sharing and taxi services, the need for optimizing the allocation of cabs to users is of paramount importance. This project presents a comprehensive solution that leverages the Great Circle Distance formula to calculate precise distances between users and available cabs, streamlining the allocation process for enhanced user experience. The primary objectives of this project encompass the development of a robust system capable of calculating distances using the Great Circle Distance formula, retrieving real-time data from diversecab providers, and implementing an intelligent algorithm for optimal cab assignments. The utilization of this formula ensures accurate distance calculations, contributing to the effective allocation of cabsto users within a specified radius.
