Abstract: The Sorting Visualizer project is a comprehensive exploration of various sorting algorithms, including Bubble Sort, Heap Sort, Insertion Sort, Quick Sort, Selection Sort, and Merge Sort. This project aims to provide an interactive and educational tool for computer science students, offering a visual representation of the inner workings of these fundamental sorting algorithms. In the rapidly evolving field of computer science, understanding sorting algorithms is crucial for developing efficient and optimized software. Sorting algorithms play a pivotal role in organizing and manipulating data, influencing the performance of applications across various domains. This project addresses the need for a practical and engaging tool that allows students to observe, analyse, and comprehend the functioning of different sorting techniques in real-time. To achieve this, the projectemploysa carefully designed methodology. Each sorting algorithm is implemented with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and accuracy. The graphical interface is intuitively designed to enhance the user experience, ensuring that complex algorithms are presented in a digestible manner. The project also considers the scalability of the visualizations, allowing users to experiment with different input sizes to observe how the algorithms perform under varying conditions. The data structures used in the project play a pivotal role in facilitating the sorting algorithms. A detailed discussion of these data structures, including their implementation and utilization within each algorithm, is provided in the project report. Understanding these structures is fundamental to comprehending the algorithms' efficiency and performance characteristics.
