| Abstract: | Dev Ops, is a philosophy that promotes that, the development and operation team in any software project should work in collaboration. This philosophy has come out as a way-out to many software industry related issues. DevOps is all about 3Ps: People, Process and Product. It says all people should work in collaboration so that the process of building a software becomes smooth and the final product is efficient and delivered on time. This makes it very much popular among the software industries. The present article gives an idea of DevOps, its definition, phases, tools used, challenges in implementing it, its usage in software industries and finally its scope in academics.
