Abstract: The "Caught You! project is a robust criminal database management system implemented as a web application. It aims to streamline the process of reporting crimes and facilitate efficient actions by law enforcement professionals. The system is divided into two primary modules: the Victim module, catering to individuals reporting crimes, and the Official module, designed to assist law enforcement officers in managing and responding to reported incidents._x000D_ The user interaction process in the Victim module is designed for simplicity and effectiveness. Users are prompted to choose a specific category of crime from the binary tree. If the selected crime is part of the system's taxonomy, the system proceeds to collect essential information. Personal details, including the victim's name, contact information, and address, are gathered to ensure a responsive follow- up. Additionally, the system prompts users to provide any known details about the perpetrator, such as name, complexion, height, special marks, and the location of the crime. To maintain the integrity and accessibility of the collected data, the Victim module employs two separate linked lists-one for personal information and another for criminal details. This segregation allows for efficient data retrieval and analysis. The use of linked lists enhances the scalability of the system, accommodating a growing database of reported incidents while optimizing data organization. The Official module is tailored to the needs of law enforcement professionals. Officials can search for reported crimes within their department using a binary tree structure similar to the one utilized in the Victim module. This implementation ensures a seamless transition between the Victim and Official modules, allowing law enforcement to access and act upon reported incidents efficiently
