Abstract: The relevance of gender pricing is sparsely noticed and recognized for policy creation. It is a far-fetched idea to work on it while a major population is not even aware of such a phenomenon existing and being an active marketing strategy for many private businesses. Pink tax as a relevant factor in today’s economy is seldom talked about. The relevancy of this concept, the equality principle, why the difference in prices targeted towards women and men has emerged, and how well of a marketing strategy it is. How the markets are profiting from it too, post Barbie movie. This chaper is a critical overview of the gender segregation and gender bias that operates in society i.e Pink Tax.
