Abstract: This paper aims to contribute to the continuing debate in the realm of literature regarding how effective literary works may be as platforms for expressing constitutional, philosophical and moral issues. This paper focuses on Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel Never Let Me Go and evaluates it considering its conflicting constitutional, humanistic and bioethical tendencies. Though one’s judgments on these problems may differ due to the variations between the novel and the film, the underlying premise is that both the novel and the film are philosophically rich in addressing some of the most fundamental questions regarding the very nature of who we are as humans.
