Abstract: The concept of leadership ethics is complex and encompasses the moral principles that direct the behaviour and choices made by those in positions of leadership in communities or organizations. Fundamentally, leadership ethics centres on the ideals and beliefs that leaders uphold and maintain in their dealings with subordinates, associates, and the community at large. It is a set of guidelines that establishes what constitutes morality and justice in the context of leadership, placing special emphasis on traits like social duty, accountability, honesty, and integrity. The moral standards and values that direct the actions and choices of those in positions of leadership are referred to as leadership ethics. Following the law is only one aspect of ethical leadership; another is a dedication to doing what is reasonable, fair, and morally correct. Setting a good example for their teams, ethical leaders place a high value on honesty, integrity, and transparency in their behaviour. They want to establish an environment at work that is based on respect, trust, and a strong feeling of responsibility because they understand how their decisions affect both specific people and the larger business. Fundamentally, leadership ethics involve making decisions with a moral compass, cultivating an environment of honesty, and making certain that the company conducts itself morally while interacting with stakeholders and the larger community.
