Abstract: This article explores the interplay between myth and history in the Indian business landscape. It argues that both mythology and history offer valuable lessons for contemporary businesses, guiding them towards ethical decisionmaking, innovation, responsible leadership, and sustainable success. The article delves into ethical lessons from mythology- stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata emphasize righteousness, truthfulness, and ethical conduct, setting a moral compass for businesses; innovation and resourcefulness - characters like Hanuman and Nala inspire businesses to be adaptable, resourceful, and embrace creative solutions; diverse leadership styles- mythological figures like Krishna and Yudhisthira showcase different leadership approaches, offering valuable insights for building effective teams; and also develops on the basis of historical grounding past such as the Mauryan Empire’s emphasis on dharma and the Marathas’ resilience offer practical lessons for responsible leadership and navigating challenges. The article emphasizes the need for critical thinking and discernment when interpreting both myth and history. The article concludes by highlighting the transformative power of this interplay, urging businesses to translate learnings into actionable insights for ethical, sustainable, and responsible business practices
