Abstract: Mechanisms and the fundamental building blocks of machines play a pivotal role in various engineering disciplines, from automotive and aerospace engineering to robotics and beyond. The synthesis and analysis of mechanisms represent essential processes in the design and optimization of these mechanical systems, enabling engineers and researchers to understand, manipulate, and improve their functionality and performance [1]. The synthesis of mechanisms involves the systematic creation and design of mechanical systems to fulfill specific tasks or functions. It encompasses the generation of new mechanisms or the modification of existing ones to meet desired objectives. This process often begins with identifying the functional requirements and constraints of the system, followed by the exploration of various design alternatives and the evaluation of their feasibility and performance. Through synthesis, engineers aim to achieve optimal solutions that balance factors such as efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability [2]. On the other hand, mechanism analysis focuses on understanding the behavior and characteristics of existing or proposed mechanical systems. It involves studying the kinematics, dynamics, and other relevant properties of mechanisms to assess their performance, predict their behavior under different
