Abstract: Jet engines are, basically, a class on internal combustion engines, that propel the aircraft in the forward direction by means of a rearward discharge of high velocity jet of fluid, which are primarily hot exhaust gases generated by burning fuel with air drawn in from the atmosphere. The modern-day jet engine has multitudes of systems and sub systems to ensure reliable working under extreme conditions. Generally, the prime mover of almost all the jet engines is a gas turbine, which works on Brayton Cycle. This chapter discusses the design and fabrication of jet engine prototype
