Abstract: The focus of this qualitative study is to explore the impact of urbanization on the lifestyle, economic and workplace conditions of residents in Dabra, a small peri-urban village located on the outskirts of Delhi. As urbanization continues to spread across the world, small villages like Dabra are facing significant changes in their traditional ways of life. This study aims to examine the experiences of residents in Dabra as they navigate the challenges and opportunities brought about by urbanization, including changes in their cultural and social practices, access to healthcare and education, and economic opportunities. By conducting in-depth interviews and collecting personal narratives, this study hopes to shed light on the complexities of urbanization in small communities and provide insights into ways to support the development of sustainable and resilient communities in the face of rapid urbanization.
