Abstract: Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born in 1891 into an ‘Untouchable’ family of modest times. One of India’s most radical thinkers, he transformed the social and political landscape in the struggle against British colonialism. “Annihilation Of Caste” was written by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. The text was originally written as the text of a speech that Ambedkar was invited to deliver at a conference in 1936 but was never delivered due to disagreements with the conference organizers. The third edition is released in the year 1944. This book addresses various important themes related to social inequality, caste discrimination, and the need for social reform in India. While it is relatively short, it delves into several significant themes in its content. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar rationally derives the need for social reform through a compelling argument that is grounded in reason and logic. He presents a systematic analysis of the caste system and its detrimental effects on Indian society, and from this analysis, he draws several rational conclusions that underscore the imperative for social reform.
