Abstract: Creative Commons is a non-profit organization based in the United States that aims to reduce the barriers to the use and reuse of works generated by others. Due to the rising cost of resources and their associated peripherals, libraries and information centers have been experiencing budget problems, which is a very typical concern for all libraries. Open access resources under the creative commons license, on the other hand, provide a solution, but it is still in its infancy in underdeveloped and developing countries. The study intended to flesh out the notions of creative commons and to draw academics' attention to the usage of CC licenses in academic publishing. CC websites, web blogs, Wikipedia, and other relevant sites were used to compile the literature forthis article. The material presented in this paper is accurate.
