Abstract: The current research work depends on both primary and secondary sources of data collection. The cross –sectional study was conducted in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi - used cluster sampling method. Researchers developed questionnaire based on literatures survey mainly. Current research total sample size was 409 and data was collected through close ended questionnaire. No one was forced to provide the data –those who showed their willingness were only included and confidentiality was maintained. The independent variables were- awareness, internet accessibility, and faster delivery, maintaining privacy of the patients, wide range of products, and non-requirement of doctor’s consultation, convenience, and discount benefits regarding the perception of online pharmacy in Indian context. The researchers used logistic regression. The study discussed the perception of customers regarding online purchase. The researchers also discussed the present controversies of online and offline pharmacies in India. This research may be useful for the online pharmacies to develop future strategies on customer loyalty. In addition, to satisfy customers through quality of service, distribution network, trustworthiness, security aspects, pricing, cash on delivery, return and replacement policies etc. need to focus for online pharmacies for better penetration.
