Abstract: Online shopping is used a lot for ordering various items required in day-to-day life. It saves time, and energy of the individual. Online shopping platform provides choices, reasonable prices, discount offers, and delivery schedule to the customers. A person can order items at the click of a button from home, office, during travelling, and at any hour of the day from any place with internet connectivity. This research aims to propose a smart device that relates to a method for the secure delivery of an online purchased item. The device is a smart packing box that detects tampering with the parcel carrying the item and informs its seller and the buyer. This smart device would comprise a circuit containing Global Positioning System, sensors, Global System for Mobile Communication, and a microcontroller.
