Abstract: This work reports on the performance enhancement of plasmonic biosensor based on zinc oxide (ZnO) and MXene heterojunction. The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensor structure consists of five layers centered on Kretschmann configuration. The sensor operation is theoretically demonstrated at commonly used visible spectral wavelength of 532 nm for glucose concentration sensing in water. Further, effect of multiple MXene layer on sensitivity and detection accuracy is also demonstrated.
