Abstract: Lab-on-chip (LoC) systems such as point of care (PoC) testing biomedical devices have wide applications, and their significance is increasing tremendously. PoC devices use immunodiagnostic assays to detect the presence of specific pathogens or biomolecules. Micropumps and micromotors are inevitable parts of such LoC devices to control the flow of biofluids. Magnetic sensors are gaining attention for the performance that they can provide in magnetic immunodiagnostic assays for PoC devices.
