Abstract

Importance of Writing Skills at Tertiary Level: Effective writing skills are integral to master communication skills in any language learning. Besides listening, speaking and reading skills, writing is an essential tool for learning a discipline. This includes learning to write effectively and also knowing the process of writing which involves writing, editing, rewriting and proofreading. Despite the importance of writing skills, it has been increasingly observed that students hate writing as writing well is a major cognitive challenge.
